We received six proposals, Three of the proposals were rejected because they did not <br />respond to our request and the cost was more than double the other responses. <br /> <br />The proposal received from Coverall provides the type of service staff believes is necessary for <br />maintenance of our new building at the lowest cost of all proposals received. As well, Coverall <br />did make adjustments to their coverage, based on discussions and changes desired on our part. <br /> <br />Coverall is a franchise business and as such we are dealing directly with the owner wben we <br />have service requests, performance issues, or changes needed in frequency or type. <br /> <br />The cost for five-day a week service is $1,163 per month, All supplies except consumab1es (trash <br />can liners and toiletries) are supplied by Coverall. The cancellation policy is 30-day notice, <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends that Council direct the City Administrator to sign a contract with Coverall <br />Inc., for the maintenance of City Hall at a cost of $1,163 per month and begin service as soon as <br />Coverall can arrange to schedule a work crew. <br />
