September 4, 2002 Letter from Dan Beeson <br /> <br />Overview <br /> <br />On March 26'\ 2001, the City Council approved a Master Plan Planned Unit Development for <br />Chesapeake Companies. The proposal contemplated a redevelopment of the former Naegle Sign <br />Company parcel and the ATS Steel property. The following two items were incorporated as <br />conditions of approval: <br /> <br />I. Due to the time requirements of land acquisition and securing major tenants, the time <br />requirement for the final plan to be submitted no more than six months after the date of the <br />City Council's approval of the Master PUD be changed to eighteen months for this proposal; <br />and <br />2. Approval of the master plan is contingent on the applicant's acquisition of all properties <br />shown in the proposal. <br /> <br />Since the eighteen month timeline for submitting a final plan will lapse in the near future, the <br />applicant is requesting a twelve month extension of their Master Plan PUD approval. In <br />evaluating this request, the Council may want to consider the following: <br />
