Charitable Gambling Premises Permit Renewal <br /> <br />DATE: January 25,2002 <br /> <br />This premises permit renewal involves the applicant's request to continue Class B pull tab <br />operations at the Blue Fox Inn for the period from April 1 , 2002, to March 31, 2004. <br /> <br />Staff has no hesitation in endorsing this premises permit renewal resolution. The Light Brigade <br />Inc. is an exemplary local organization that prides itself on trying to contribute 100% of net <br />profits in the form oflocal trade area donations. In the staffreview period from January 2000 to <br />December 2001, the Light Brigade made almost $215,000 in local trade area donations to thirty- <br />four (34) different local groups including several schools in the Mounds View School District. <br />Recipients receiving over $10,000 in donations include Northwest Youth & Family Services <br />($13,500); Mounds View High School ($63,633); Irondale High School ($32,600); Upper <br />League Summer Baseball ($10,100); Independent School District No. 621 ($30,000); and <br />Chippewa Middle School ($10,000). <br /> <br />Recommeudation <br />Staff recommends Council approve Resolution No. 02-08, Resolution Approving Light Brigade <br />Inc. Charitable Gambling Premises Permit Renewal Application at the Blue Fox Inn, at the <br />] anuary 28, 2002, regular Council meeting.
