It would not be prudent for the City of Arden Hills
to abandon a BMP that has improved the water quality of its major recreational lakes and
resulted in low maintenance cost. Our experience has clearly shown a cost benefit in the
use of storm water ponds as a first choice option, In this regard, we applaud the RCWD
past requirements for such implementation,

Appendices

We have included those changes recommended in Appendices A, B, and D.

We appreciate the constructive criticism by Rice Creek Watershed District on the draft
LSWMP. The City of Arden Hills looks forward to the Districts' approval ofthe Plan
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 103B.235, Subdivision 4.
