Discussion St Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church is a St Paul-based organization that only conducts licensed charitable gambling activities at the Pot O'Gold Bingo Hall in Arden Hills, St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church complied with the City of Arden Hills ordinance trade area spending requirements by expending almost $197,198 (50%) in local trade area donations during the February 2000 to January 2001 twenty-four (24) month staff review period. Recipients receiving over $10,000 in donations included Northwest Youth and Family Services ($42,000); St Jolm the Baptist School ($20,000); St Odelia School ($20,000); Mounds View High Scbool Music Department ($20,000); Northwest YMCA Partners with Youth ($15,000); City of Arden Hills Park Fund ($15,000); and St. Katherine's Ukrainian Orthodox Church ($12,000), Recommendation Staff recommends the City Council approve Resolution No. 02-16, Resolution Approving St. Mary's Romanian Orthodox Church Charitable Gambling Premises Permit Renewal Application at Pot O'Gold Bingo Hall, at the February 25, 2002, regular City Council meeting.
