<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORKSESSION <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2002, 4:45 P.M. <br />CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1245 WEST HIGHWAY 96 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Probst called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. Councilmembers present were <br />Beverly Aplikowski, David Grant, Lois Rem, and Gregg Larson. <br /> <br />Staff present included Parks & Recreation and Interim Operations and Maintenance <br />Director, Tom Moore; City Plarmer, Aaron Parrish; City Treasurer, Terry Post; City <br />Engineer, Greg Brown; and Recording Secretary, Julie Bateman. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />Mills Corporation Presentation <br />Mills Corporation presented a mixed use proposal (Arden Hills Townscape) for a portion <br />of the TCAAP property that would include residential areas, retail, town center, and <br />office space. <br /> <br />Gateway Redevelopment Environmental Assessment Worksheet -Chesapeake <br />Companies has followed all appropriate procedures for an Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet and to determine if an environmental impact statement (EIS) is necessary. <br />Staff recommends that an EIS is not necessary due to information and input frorn MNDot <br />and the Met Council. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Appointments - There are currently tlrree applicants for the <br />Planning Commission, excluding the list from last year's applicants. Mayor Probst stated <br />he approached resident Megan Ricke regarding appointment to the Planning <br />Commission. Council members will contact selected previous applicants to assess if they <br />may still be interested in appointment to the Planning Commission. Applicants will be <br />interviewed previous to the March 11 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Stormwater Management Plan - Planner Aaron Parrish addressed the Council asking <br />for review and comments of the Stormwater Managernent Plan. After the plan is accepted <br />by the Council it will be forwarded to the Rice Creek Watershed District for their <br />approval, and then back to the Council for adoption. <br />
