<br />tit <br /> <br />tit <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />rVlINUTES <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6,2002 <br />7:30 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER---------- <br /> <br />Chair Sand called the meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present were Chair David Sand, Commissioners Terri Duchenes, Therese Galatowitsch, <br />and Clayton Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Absent: None. <br /> <br />Also present were Councilmember Beverly Aplikowski, Councilmember Lois Rem, City <br />Planner Aaron Parrish, and Recording Secretary Kathleen Altman. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br /> <br />Councilmember Aplikowski administered the Oath for Chair Sand and Commissioners <br />Duchenes, Galatowitsch, and Zimmerman <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON <br />JANUARY 9, 2002. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmennan requested the following changes/revisions: Page 2, 4th <br />paragraph, second sentence, change she to he, Page 3, number 1 delete parking spaces <br />after the word seven, Page 8, third paragraph from the bottom, revise to read: "Also, <br />Representative McCullwn has been..." <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmennan moved, seconded by Commissioner Galatowitsch to approve <br />the January 9,2002 minutes as amended. The motion carried unanimously (4-0), <br /> <br />CASE #02-02 - 3159 SHORE WOOD DRIVE, MINDY SCHULKE, SETBACK <br />VARIANCE - PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Chair Sand opened the public hearing at 7:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Staff reviewed their report dated February 27,2002. Staffreviewed the five findings <br />necessary for a variance, Staffrecommended approval of the request based on the <br />findings therein. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zimmerman questioned why staffs repOJi did not correspond with the <br />recommendations. Mr. Parrish explained the inconsistencies and revised the <br />recommendation number three to read: "the property in question can be put to reasonable <br />use as a single- family home". <br />
