<br />Provides technical assistance to City departments on projects and activities as directed by <br />the City Administrator. . <br /> <br />Oversees preparation of departmental budgets and participates In preparation of the <br />annual City budget. <br /> <br />Attends Council and Commission meetings as required. <br /> <br />Performs other duties as apparent or assigned. <br /> <br />SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />Directly supervises employees in the Administration Department, including the positions of <br />Building Official, Building Inspector, Planner, Treasurer, Accountant and Office Support <br />staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City's policies and <br />applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; <br />evaluating performance; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. <br />Responsibilities also include the ability to effectively recommend recruiting and hiring; <br />rewarding and disciplining employees, promoting, demoting, suspending and discharging <br />of employees. <br /> <br />QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty <br />satisfactorily, The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, <br />and/or ability required. Minimum of years supervisory experience; or an <br />equivalent combination of education or experience. <br /> <br />LANGUAGE SKILLS <br /> <br />Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, <br />policies, regulations, ordinances, codes, contracts, and procedure manuals. Ability to <br />prepare reports and correspondence. Excellent word, grammar, punctuation and <br />vocabulary.
