Lynch.Joe

~rom:
.,sent:
To:

Cc:
Subject:

Bart [brehbein@rehbein.com]
Friday, May 03, 2002 10:28 AM
John Hink; Collin Barr; Roger Fralely; Mike Zipko; Song Lo Fawcett; Jeff
Knutson; Mark Vargo; Kent Carlson
Joe Lynch
Media Relations on TCAAP

To All Concerned,

I just received a phone call from Joe Lynch about a conversation he had with the mayor either last
night or this morning. The mayor became very concerned over the media coverage after yesterday
and is respectfully asking us to cooperate in keeping publicity very low profile at this time.

He is concerned the congressional delegation and other groups may get the wrong impression over
these reports. Redevelopment of TCAAP is a very sensitive issue for many and the less said the
better at this time. I told him we would supply no more information to the media until we had met with
the city and could coordinate how communication with the media will take place. I told him we were in
complete agreement with the mayor on this issue.

I also emphasized we were not attempting to solicit interest from the media over the TCMP
developments but that we have been contacted by media based on the decision the city council
made Monday night.

erhe bottom line at this point is that it is in the city and our best interest to keep this process low
profile at this time. I would request that for the time being any requests to our team from the media
for information on this matter be forwarded to the City of Arden Hills, and we will let them handle it
until a more formal process and procedure can be mutually agreed to.

If you have any comments or concerns on this please let me know.

Bart Rehbein
Glenn Rehbein Companies
Office 763-784-0657
Cell 612-919-2020
Fax 763-784-6001

brehbein@rehbein.com
www.rehbein.com

.

1
