C <br /> <br /> <br />Solicitor Permit Application - Steven Johns <br /> <br />ENCLOSURES: <br /> <br />Ramsey County Sheriff Report <br /> <br />Backl!round <br /> <br />Staff has received a solicitor's application from Steven Johns, representing Southwestern <br />Company to sell books door-to-door in Arden Hills. <br /> <br />Although the Ramsey County Sheriffs Office indicates no convictions, outstanding warrants, or <br />pending charges on Mr. Johns, further investigation by staff of surrounding cities indicate other <br />such representatives from Southwestern Company have been denied a solicitor's permit. The <br />basis for such denial has been negative resident response to this form of solicitation. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends denial of a Solicitor's Permit to Steven Johns. <br />
