.

.

.

Memorandum: Arden Tower
June 12, 2002
Page 2 of2

Results
Enelosed are copies ofthe report without the technical data showing:

1. The tower mapping showing 32 different antennas mounted on the tower.
2. Ultrasound testing indicating little or no corrosion.
3. An abbreviated engineering report showing the 700 foot tower is out of compliance with
the state code.
4. An additional report on removing 80 feet off the tower, bringing the tower into
compliance with code.
5. A copy of a letter indicating Mr. Vaughan would be agreeablc to pay up to $1,000 for
review of his report.

Conclusion
The engineering report the City received from American Tower agrees with Mr. Vaughan's
report, that ifhe were to remove the top 80 feet off the tower, it would then be code complaint
with all of the existing antennas relocated on the tower. From a safety standpoint, the tower
would be brought into the parameters of the code making it a safe structure.

From a zoning standpoint, the tower would continue to have many more antennas than were
originally approved.
