<br />. Supervises and manages animal control. <br /> <br />Coordinates implementation of technology including MIS and GIS. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Monitors developer compliance with Council directives and development contracts. <br /> <br />Provides technical assistance to City departments on projects and activities as directed by <br />the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Oversees preparation of administration budgets and participates in preparation of the <br />annual City budget. <br /> <br />Attends all City Council meetings and Commission meetings as required. <br /> <br />Performs other duties as apparent or assigned. <br /> <br />SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />Directly supervises employees in the Community Services Department, including the <br />positions of Building Official, Building Inspector, Planner, and Accountant. Carries out <br />supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City's policies and applicable laws. <br />Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; <br />and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsibilities also include the <br />ability to effectively recommend recruiting and hiring; rewarding and disciplining <br />employees, promoting, demoting, suspending and discharging of employees. <br /> <br />QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty <br />satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, <br />and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals <br />with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <br /> <br />EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE <br /> <br />Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business, Planning, Public Administration or related <br />field. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of 2 - 5 years progressively responsible <br />experience in local government. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience; or an <br />equivalent combination of education or experience. <br /> <br />LANGUAGE SKILLS <br />
