<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Job Description <br /> <br />POSITION: <br />DEPARTMENT: <br />REPORTS TO: <br /> <br />Personnel Director/Deputy Clerk <br />Administration <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />Provides assistance to the City Administrator in the administration of City services and <br />operations and other Department Directors to assure compliance with the City's <br />policies, goals, and programs. Manages and directs all the activities of the <br />Administrative Support staff. <br /> <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS <br /> <br />Assists the City Administrator in managing overall operations as part of the <br />management team. <br /> <br />Responsible for development and recommendation of personnel policies and programs. <br />Oversees and/or performs implementation of approval of policies and programs. Takes <br />corrective action to resolve problems. Compiles detail and data for contract <br />negotiations. <br /> <br />Administers human resource functions including employee benefits, administration, <br />employee communications, worker's compensation administration, etc. <br /> <br />Directly supervises Administrative Support staff. <br /> <br />Administers, plans, prepares, and conducts local, state, and national elections in <br />accordance with statutory requirements. <br /> <br />Administers and monitors liability claim process. <br /> <br />Responsible for preparation, maintenance, filing, and publication of official records, <br />documents, resolutions, ordinances, and policy and procedures manuals. <br /> <br />Administers records retention and management in compliance with state retention and <br />data privacy requirements. <br />
