<br />. <br /> <br />QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty <br />satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, <br />and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals <br />with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <br /> <br />EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE <br /> <br />Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum of three (3) years supervisory <br />accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. <br /> <br />lANGUAGE SKillS <br /> <br />Ability to read and interpret documents such as bond documents, investment reports, <br />financial documents, state statutes, reports, policies, and regulations, contracts, and <br />procedure manuals. Ability to prepare reports and correspondence. Ability to <br />communicate effectively both orally and in writing with supervisors, City staff, elected <br />officials, auditors, and the general public. <br /> <br />. MATHEMATICAL SKillS <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. <br />Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to prepare internal rate of return <br />and net profit. <br /> <br />OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKillS, AND ABILITIES <br /> <br />Knowledge of fund accounting. <br />General knowledge of risk management, security, and utility accounting and operations. <br />Knowledge of City operations, ordinances and practices relating to finance, budgeting and <br />accounting. <br />Knowledge of computers and software applications including financial, payroll, utility billing <br />and fixed asset functions. <br />Effective problem solving and communication skills. <br />Ability to establish effective working relationships with contractors, developers, architects, <br />engineers, owners and the general public. <br />
