<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Job Description <br /> <br />POSITION: <br />DEPARTMENT: <br />REPORTS TO: <br /> <br />Operations and Maintenance Superintendent <br />Operations and Maintenance <br />Director of Operations and Maintenance <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />Assists in the coordination, planning, direction and administration of the Maintenance and <br />Operations Department. <br /> <br />ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION <br /> <br />Coordinates the operation and maintenance activities. <br /> <br />Assists in the preparation of annual operating and capital improvement budgets. <br /> <br />Collects and records data and information on the operations and maintenance activities, <br />programs and equipment. <br /> <br />Provides information to the Director of Operations and Maintenance to determine and plan <br />purchases of equipment, materials, and supplies. <br /> <br />Plans and coordinates maintenance activities and equipment usage with other City <br />Departments. <br /> <br />Supervises the maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, water storage facilities, <br />distribution lines, vaives, hydrants, water meters, sewage lift stations and sanitary sewer <br />lines. <br /> <br />Supervises the maintenance and repair of City streets. <br /> <br />Responsible for maintaining a schedule of routine and emergency sanitary sewer line <br />cleaning; and preventive maintenance of street department vehicles and equipment and <br />performs minor repairs as needed. <br /> <br />Coordinates snow plowing, sanding and snow removal operations; installation and <br />removal of downtown holiday decorations. <br /> <br />Purchases parts and equipment as needed within policy guidelines and budget limitations. <br />
