Sample Letter Soliciting Advisory Panel Representatives <br /> <br />Overview <br /> <br />At the August 12, 2002 meeting of the City Council, the Council retained Dahlgren Shardlow <br />and Uban (DSU) to facilitate the master planning process for TCAAP. In conjunction with that <br />approval, the Council authorized staff and DSU to begin the process of establishing an Advisory <br />Panel that would provide recommendations to the Council in conjunction with the planning <br />effort. Attached is a diagram outlining the current composition of the Advisory Panel. The <br />Council will note the addition of the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission to the Panel. Given <br />the interest they have indicated in TCAAP to date, staff thought it would be appropriate that they <br />be included. <br /> <br />Staff has, or is in the process of doing the following to solicit interest in the Community <br />Representative appointments to the panel: <br /> <br />· A notice will appear in the next Arden Hills Notes requesting applications. The <br />application deadline will be October 1 '" 2002. This will enable the Council to have <br />interviews during the second week of October. <br />· A press release has been sent to the Bulletin and Focus. <br />· A notice and application has been placed on our website. <br />· A notice and application will be mailed to Arden Hills residents that provided their name <br />and address at any of the Community Dialogue meetings. . <br />
