.

.

.

Surnmarv of Carbon Monoxide Study Results

CO concentrations for the 2020 Full Build-Out scenario are below state and federal
standards in 2020 for all receptors in both the A.M. and P.M. modeled conditions. The
highest modeled concentration is found at Receptor 7, and is 7.4 ppm in the afternoon
peak. Full model results are presented in Tables 19 and 20.

23.

STATIONARY SOURCE AIR EMISSIONS

EAW:
WILL THE PROJECT INVOLVE ANY STATIONARY SOURCES OF AIR EMISSIONS
(SUCH AS BOILERS OR EXHAUST STACKS)? NO YES

IF YES, DESCRffiE THE SOURCES, QUANTITIES, AND COMPOSITION OF THE
EMISSIONS; THE PROPOSED AIR POLLUTION CONTROL DEVICES; THE
QUANTITIES AND COMPOSITION OF THE EMISSIONS AFTER TREATMENT;
AND THE EFFECTS ON AIR QUALITY.

AUAR:
This item is not applicable to an AUAR. Any stationary air emission source large enough
to merit environmental review requires individual review.

24. DUST, ODORS AND NOISE

EAW:
WILL THE PROJECT GENERATE ODORS,
CONSTRUCTION AND/OR OPERATION?

NOISE OR DUST DURING
NO YES

IF YES, DESCRIBE THE SOURCE, CHARACTERISTICS, DURATION, AND
QUANTITIES OR INTENSITY, AND ANY PROPOSED MEASURES TO MITIGATE
ADVERSE IMPACTS. ALSO, IDENTIFY THE LOCATIONS OF SENSITIVE
RECEPTORS AND ESTIMATE THE IMPACTS ON THEM. DISCUSS POTENTIAL
IMPACTS ON HUMAN HEALTH OR QUALITY OF LIFE.

AUAR:
Dust, odors, and construction noise need not be addressed in an A UAR, unless there is
some unusual reason to do so. The RGU might want to discuss as part of the mitigation
plan, however, and dust control or construction noise ordinances in effect.

If the area will include or adjoin major noise sources a noise analysis is needed to
determine if any noise levels in excess of standards would occur, and if so, to identify
appropriate mitigation measures. With respect to traffic-generated noise, the noise
analysis should be based on the traffic analysis of item 21.

Guidant Campus Master Plan
Draft AUAR

-44 -

September 2002
