<br />t <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />~ <br />~HILLS <br /> <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2002, 4:45 P.M. <br />CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 1245 WEST HIGHWAY 96 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Probst called the meeting to order at 4:50 p.m. Present: Council <br />Members Beverly Aplikowski, David Grant, Gregg Larson, and Lois Rem. <br /> <br />Also present: Administrator, Joe Lynch; Director of Operations and <br />Maintenance, Tom Moore; Director of Community Services, Aaron Parrish; <br />Planner, Peter Hellegers; Engineer Greg Brown; and Deputy Clerk, Cynthia <br />Young. <br /> <br />2.A <br /> <br />Community Services - 1-35 Build-Out Study <br /> <br />Mayor Probst introduced Bob Benke, 1-35W Corridor Coalition and Carol <br />Swenson, University of Minnesota Design Center for American Urban Landscape. <br /> <br />Mr. Benke reviewed and discussed the conception and goals of the 1-35W Corridor <br />Coalition as it relates to Arden Hills and the entire seven-city area. <br /> <br />Ms. Swenson introduced the 2000-2020 Subregional Growth Study which includes <br />the cities of Blaine, Circle Pines, Mounds View, Arden Hills, New Brighton, <br />Shoreview and Roseville. She explained the Coalition Operating Structure, and <br />discussed growth patterns and how to balance development as found in the study. <br /> <br />Planning Commissioner Brad Lemberg asked where the data was found, and how it <br />was developed. <br />
