. development of the properties to the north and south. The city of Arden Hills has expressed concem about future road access to the adjacent 66-acre "Primer- Tracer" site. To maintain the integrity of the wildlife corridor, road access to this site should be provided from the north off County Road I and follow the west boundary of the property licensed to the Minnesota National Guard. The area of contamination (Parcel D) will be remediated by the U.S. Department of Army in accordance with the standards agreed upon by the Army and the Environmental Protection Agency. Activities are underway to cleanup contaminants on the site. In the event that the site is not suitable for public access, fencing the site may be necessary. Fencing should be installed in a manner that allows for animal movement under the fence. Restoration of the natural drainage corridor and vegetation will be accomplished by Ramsey County. All restoration activities will utilize native plant material and be coordinated with the Minnesota National Guard to assure consistency throughout the corridor. The only recreational development anticipated will be a future trail connection between the Rice Creek corridor and the Minnesota National Guard property. This trail connection will be subject to agreements for use of the National Guard property for trail uses such as Nordic skiing. The property will be available for informal, non- consumptive outdoor recreation activities such as nature study and birding. .
