ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES NOVEMBER 12, 2002 4 . Council Member Rem requested the information presented tonight be placed on the City's website. Jim Paulet, 1285 Wvncrest Court, stated he represented the neighborhood group that worked with Guidant. He indicated the neighborhood group consisted of residents of the Wyncrest Neighborhood, which is located directly north of the Guidant Property. He stated the group had come together after attending the open meeting held on March 7, 2002, when Guidant unveiled their campus plan. At that time, they had many concerns that included traffic, building heights, location of Fernwood, and the notification requirements that were in place. He stated they had requested and Guidant agreed to meet with the neighborhood. He stated over the sununer they held five meetings, which they felt were very productive. He noted Guidant was willing to listen and respond. He indicated the resulting compromises were significant and was something both Guidant and neighbors could live with. He requested a copy of the AUAR study. Pat Krenn. 1230 Wvncrest Court, stated based on the past experience, he requested that storm water running from the Guidant property not be drained into Karth Lake. e Ed Robinson, 1370 Colleen Avenue, stated his concern was how this proposal was going to impact traffic in the City. He noted Guidant was an excellent neighbor and he did not want to oppose the expansion, but he did have a concern regarding the roads not being able to handle the increase in traffic. He noted there were no proposals for bus stops, park and ride areas, or bus shelters. He stated Guidant was not encouraging their employees to car pool or take public transit, which he believed, would impacted the City with severe congestion over time. He stated the Zoning Codes did not relate to the kind of congestion problems they were facing at this time. He asked if Guidant could avoid spending some of the money they were proposing to spend on parking ramps and instead, work with the Metropolitan Council to encourage their employees to use public transit. He asked if the City would be better off by acconunodating Guidant, with respect to the traffic. Gene Scales, 4136 James Circle, asked if the AUAR conunents could be extended a couple of days. .
