County Road D

Dear Mr. Heltegers:

Ernie and I own the property inunediately to the north of the Harrington lot on COWllIy
Road D. We have no objections to the City of Arden Hills granting a variance of five
feet to accommodate rebuilding of the Harrington garage. It is our opinion that the
current variance requirement of tea feet is inappropriate for the residential lot sizes along
County Road D and several other streets located in this southwest comer of Arden Hills.
Requiring them to place a garage ten feet inside their property boundary would place the
garage directly behind their house and would take away valuable yard space.
Furthermore, sinee they are only trying to replace a structure that was lost to fire we
would hope the City would not impose any further hardships upon them by restricting
their ability to recover their losses,

Please be sure to present this letter to city council members at the public hearing on
November 18,2002 so they may take our views into consideration. We would hope that
after careful consideration you wilt grant this variance immediately so that construction
can be completed before winter arrives.

Thank you for your atteation to this malter.

Sincerely,

6~a..cQ'~ ~

Ernie and Melinda H1.Ull

<OO/ZOO'd 1161#

'1'i-:) IG3W 3:G!)(' ,1 s"

6011 061 rl9 or'01 ZOO<,81'^ON
