<br />development of the p.roperties to the north and south, The city of Arden Hills has <br />expressed conCern about future road access to the adjacent 66-acre "Primer" . <br />TraCer" site. To maintain the integrity of the wi.ldlife corridor, road access to this site <br />should be provided from the north off County Road I and follow the west boundary <br />of the property licensed to the Minnesota National GUard. <br /> <br />The area of contamination (Parcel D) will be remediated by the U.S. Department of <br />Army in acoordance with the standards agreed upon by the .Armyand the <br />Environmental Protection Agency. Activities are underway to cleanupcontaminant$ <br />on the site. In the event that the site is not suitable for publiC access, fencing the <br />site may be necessary. Fll'ncing should beinstallll'd ina manner that allow!> f(lr <br />animal mOvement under the fence. <br /> <br />Restoration of the natural drainage corridor and vegetation wfll be acoomplished by <br />Ramsey County. All restoration actMfies will utilize native plant material and be <br />coordinated with the Minnesota National Guard to assure consistency throughout <br />the COrridor. <br /> <br />The only recreational development anticipated will be a future trail connection <br />between the Rise Creek corridor and lhe Minnesota National Guard property. This <br />trail connection will be subject to agreements for use of the National Guard property <br />fortrail uses such as Nordic skiing.
