<br />Extract of Minutes of Meeting <br />of City Council <br />, City of Arden Hills <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> <br />October 13, 1986 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, <br />Minnesota was duly called and held in the Council Chambers in <br />said City on the 13th day of October, 1986, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />The following members of the Council were present: <br />Mayor Woodburn and Council members Hansen, Hicks and Sather. <br />Council member Peck was absent. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-57 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />TO ENTER INTO JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE CITY OF SHOREVIEW FOR SOUTH FIRE STATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of Shoreview and Arden Hills (the <br />"Cities") currently lack a fire station (the "South Fire <br />Station") anywhere in the southern part of their jurisdictions, <br />and both feel that one is needed to ensure quicker response times <br />by fire fighters to combat fires, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cities have deemed it advisable, in the <br />public interest and mutually advantageous for them jointly to <br />undertake the construction of the South Fire Station and to equip <br />and operate it, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the attorney for the City of Shoreview has <br />drafted a proposed Joint Powers Agreement for the South Fire <br />Station (the "Joint Powers Agreement"), <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS that the Joint Powers Agreement be <br />approved and adopted in the form submitted to the City Council. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk- <br />Administrator be and they hereby are authorized to execute the <br />original and counterparts of the Joint Powers Agreement on behalf <br />of the City of Arden Hills. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk-Administrator be <br />and she hereby is authorized and directed to insert on Page 4 of <br />the Joint Powers Agreement the number of this Resolution and the <br />date hereof. <br /> <br />Passed by the Arden Hills City Council this 13th day of <br />October, 1986. <br /> <br />vf'~~ <br /> <br />Robert Woodburn, <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />~@)~ <br /> <br />Charlotte McNiesh, <br />Clerk-Administrator <br />
