<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, failure to comply with that law could jeopardize <br />the validity of an assessment, and <br />WHEREAS, that law now requires that mailed notice be sent <br />to the property owner which sets forth certain required <br />information including the amount of the assessment against the <br />particular parcel of land owned by the owner, sets forth new <br />requirements for the published notice of such assessments, and <br />repeals the former requirement that the published notice contain <br />the entire assessment roll, and <br />WHEREAS, under the new law, hence, the City must notify-- <br />by mailed and published notice--property owners who have failed <br />to pay water and sewer bills, have had diseased trees removed <br />from their properties, and/or have had their properties connected <br />to the Roseville water system, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA THAT the Council meet at <br />the City Hall, 1450 West Highway 96, in the City on September 8, <br />1986 at 8:30 o'clock p.m. for the purpose of holding a public <br />hearing to adopt and confirm special assessments for delinquent <br />utility bills, diseased tree removal, and the Roseville water <br />connection. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Clerk-Administrator be <br />authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and <br />purpose of said public hearing to be published in the official <br />newspaper of the City, the New Brighton Bulletin, in the manner <br />specified in Chapter 473 of 1986 Session Laws and to be mailed to <br />affected property owners in the manner specified in that Law, <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
