<br />. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 86-13 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING MODIFICATION OF <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY COST SHARING POLICY <br />BY MUNICIPALITIES AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT <br />OF ARDEN HILLS' SHARE OF 694/LEXINGTON <br />BRIDGE/PATHWAY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 'County of Ramsey and the Department of <br />Public Works has established a policy that requires cities <br />within its jurisdiction to participate in the cost of certain <br />improvements on County roads, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is no State requirement that the cost <br />of these improvements be passed through to the City, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is anticipated construction of a <br />bridge over 1-694 (a State road) at Lexington Avenue (a County <br />road), which bridge will include a connecting pathway, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has been asked to <br />share the cost of this bridge/pathway, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the pathway is an important link, and the <br />City is told that neither the pathway nor the bridge will be <br />built if the costs are not paid in part by the municipalities; <br /> <br />NOW, THERE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council <br />requests the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners to reconsider <br />its policy of municipal sharing of the cost of County road <br />obligations, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, until such time as the <br />Ramsey County Board of Commissioners reviews and modifies its <br />sharing policy, the City of Arden Hills agrees to pay the sum <br />of $11,892.50x as its share of the construction costs and the <br />engineering cost of said bridge/pathway. <br /> <br />Passed by the Arden Hills City Council this 10th <br />day of March, 1986. <br /> <br />~~~r7~ <br />Robert L.
