<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-61 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Arden Hills has determined <br />that the preservation of its tax base, creation of jobs and general <br />welfare of its citizens is in its best interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city has the ability from time to time to create <br />Committees which shall report to the city Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city has considered the recommendations from the <br />Economic Development Task Force <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ARDEN HILLS, <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />An Economic Development Committee is hereby established <br />in and for the city. The mission of this Committee shall <br />be to represent the community, assist local business, and <br />to advise the city Council. This would be accomplished <br />through: <br />* Working to provide a favorable climate for <br />development and redevelopment. <br />* Retention and expansion of existing businesses. <br />* Attraction of new business activities. <br /> <br />2. The Economic Development Committee will be governed by a <br />board of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. <br />The Committee will be staffed by the Community Planning <br />Coordinator and one (1) Council liaison. <br /> <br />3.
