<br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-48 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />"SHARE YOUR CHAIR" MONTH <br /> <br />OCTOBER 1993 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are 225,000 people in the Twin cities metro <br />community who have physical disabilities and countless <br />others who have temporary disabilities due to <br />accidents, surgery or illness; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, many of these members of our community require <br />mobility equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, <br />crutches and/or other assistive equipment to maintain <br />their independence; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Goodwill/Easter Seal Equipment Loan Program <br />responds to the community be receiving, repairing and <br />loan assistive equipment at no cost to those unable to <br />purchase or rent their own; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Goodwill/Easter Seal and Firstar Bank of Minnesota <br />have partnered to collect this needed equipment <br />through the Share Your Chair campaign by soliciting <br />donations from the community at large; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED I, Thomas Sather, Mayor of the <br />City of Arden Hills, do hereby proclaim the Month of October <br />1993 as <br /> <br />"SHARE YOUR CHAIR" Month <br /> <br />and urge all community members to support this worthwhile <br />program which maximizes independence for individuals when they <br />have a need. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN <br />HILLS THIS 27TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1993. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />THOMAS R.
