<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 93 .38 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF CONTRACT IN THE MATTER OF THE <br />FERNWOOD STREET WATER 10WER IMPROVEMENT OF 1993 <br /> <br />WHEREAS pursuant to Resolution 93-37, competitive bids were solicited and received for the <br />Fernwood Street Water Tower improvement as set forth in the bid tabulation attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the lowest bid for Alternative 2, which includes the complete construction for structural <br />modifications and refurbishing of the water tower, removal of paint, and repainting on <br />the interior wet and dry surfaces and exterior surfuces (including all labor, material, <br />equipment, and incidentals described or inferred in the specifications or shown on <br />drawings), is within the City's budget for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the low bidder bid an additional $3,500 for painting a sign on the water tower if the <br />City Council decides to have the sign painted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the City Council has considered the amount of the bids and the responsibility of the <br />bidders and determined that Odland Protective Coatings is the lowest responsible bidder; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, <br />Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the <br />City, such contract with Odland Protective Coatings as is approved by the City Attorney for <br />the completion of the Femwood Street Water Tower improvement according to the approved <br />plans and specifications designated in Resolution 93-37. <br /> <br />2.
