<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-33 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NO PARKING AREA ON THE EAST AND WEST SIDE <br />OF NORTH SNELLING AVENUE, AND INSTALLATION OF A CROSSWALK <br />NEAR ROYAL HILLS PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Arden Hills city Council has received a report from <br />the Parks Director, Public Works superintendent and City Engineer, <br />dated May 9, 1991, requesting limited parking on North Snelling <br />Avenue, in the area adjacent to Royal Hills Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Royal Hills Park is utilized extensively by children <br />participating in recreational programs and parking of vehicles on <br />both sides of the roadway creates a dangerous situation for <br />children crossing the street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends the following: <br /> <br />1. Posting "No Parking" signs on the east side of North Snelling <br />Avenue along the entire length of the property parallel to <br />Royal Hills Park; <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Installation of a marked crosswalk on the road from the <br />westerly park property to the east side of the road; <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Posting "No Parking" signs on the west side of the <br />feet north and south of the crosswalk area, <br />visibility for children crossing the street. <br /> <br />road for 20 <br />to provide <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the city Council review the <br />report and recommendation from staff relating to the parking <br />limitations; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills city council authorize <br />the "No Parking" signs on the east and west side of North Snelling <br />Avenue, in the area of Royal Hills Park, and the installation of a <br />crosswalk as recommended by staff. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Arden Hills city council <br /> <br /> <br />By <br />Tho <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~ 12 B~ <br />Gary .
