<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-56 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHNG THE LAST SATURDAY IN APRIL <br />AS ARBOR DAY AND MAY AS ARBOR MONTH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is committed to enhancing the beauty of <br />the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of Arden Hills have been assisting the Arden Hills <br />Parks Committee in planting trees in City parks for several years;' and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of Arden Hills planted trees in Cummings, Hazelnut, <br />Perry, and Arden Oaks Parks on April 29, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Arbor Day is a time to appreciate the contributions made by shade <br />trees to our City and to undertake a coordinated and cooperative effort to <br />increase the shade tree population within our City parks. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Arden Hills City Council hereby <br />proclaimed the last Saturday in April as "Arbor Day", and the month of May <br />as HArbor Month". <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Arden Hills City Council urges the public- <br />spirited and foresighted citizens of Arden Hills to assist in the planting <br />of trees for the enjoyment and pleasure of future generattons. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Arden Hills City Council this 11th day of December, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />By <br />Thomas <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~-/(!kr <br /> <br />Gary .
