MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-45 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />1989 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS. pursuant to an advertisement for bids for proposed 1989 Pavement <br />Management Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to <br />law, and the following bids were received complying with said advertisement: <br /> <br />BIDDER <br />Bituminous Consulting & Contracting Co., Inc. <br />Valley Paving, Inc. <br />Bituminous Roadways, Inc. <br />Alber Construction, Inc. <br />Ashbach Construction Company <br /> <br />TOTAL BID <br />$70,664.90 <br />72,485.75 <br />82,415.00 <br />83,702.50 <br />89,115.30 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Engineer's estimate was: $75,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has noted that Bituminous Consulting and Contracting <br />Company. Inc., of Minneapolis, MN, be declared the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the bids for the project are hereby received and accepted. <br /> <br />2. That Bituminous Consulting and Contracting Company, Inc., is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />3. That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed <br />to execute and deliver any and all contracts and documents necessary to <br />consummate the bid award for the above described improvement to Bituminous <br />Consulting and Contracting Company. Inc., of Minneapolis, MN. <br /> <br />4. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return to all <br />bidders the bid bonds submitted with their bids, except that the bid bond <br />of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills this 28th day of August, <br />1989. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />.
