<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />Resolution No. 88-41 <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE LAST SATURDAY IN APRIL AS ARBOR DAY <br />AND MAYAS ARBOR MONTH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is committed to enhancing <br />the beauty of the City, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of Arden Hills have been assisting the <br />Arden Hills Parks Committee in planting trees in city parks for several <br />years, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the citizens of Arden Hills planted trees in <br />Cummings Park, Hazelnut Park, Arden Oaks Park and North Snelling Park, and <br />along pedestrian trails on April 30, 1988, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Arbor Day is a time to appreciate the contributions <br />made by shade trees to our City and to undertake a coordinated and <br />cooperative effort to increase the shade tree population within our city <br />parks. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Arden Hills City <br />Council hereby proclaims the last Saturday in April as "Arbor Day", and <br />the month of Mayas "Arbor Month". <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills City Council <br />urges the public-spirited and foresighted citizens of Arden Hills to <br />assist in the planting of trees for the enjoyment and pleasure of future <br />generations. <br /> <br />o~~.~ <br />'M. i2j.~;.
