<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />(/ <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION DECLARING MAY 1 - 7 MINNESOTA CITIES WEEK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, cities are a grass roots governmental system which represents <br />a close relationship between elected officials and citizens; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Some 80 percent of the people in Minnesota choose to raise <br />their families and make their homes within our state's cities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cities provide the basic services necessary to insure the <br />health, safety, and well being of the people - services such water, streets, <br />and police and fire protection; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cities exhibit amazing versatility in funding unique ways to <br />cost effectively provide these services to their residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cities are essential to the future protection and development <br />of our resources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, It is appropriate <br />city employees, and volunteers in <br />vitality of our communities; <br /> <br />to recognize the work of city officials, <br />providing for the economic growth and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert L.
