<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-28 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REVISING WATER UTILITY RATES <br />EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1987 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City water utility rates have not been increased <br />since July 1, 1984, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has reviewed the water <br />utility rate structure and determined that, since operating costs, as well <br />as the cost of water purchased from St. Paul, have increased over 15% <br />since that time, an increase in rates to consumers is necessary to enable <br />the utility to remain self-supporting, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that the <br />Council increase water rates to meet actual operating costs; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that effective July 1, 1987, <br />the water utility rates be revised as follows: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Water rates will be increased from $1.10 per thousand <br />gallons to $1.27 per thousand gallons. <br /> <br />Quarterly minimum charges will be ad;usted as follows: <br /> <br />Meter Size <br /> <br />Old Quarterly <br />Minimum Charge <br /> <br />New Quarterly <br />Minimum Charge <br /> <br />5/8" <br />1" <br />1-1/2" <br />2" <br />3" <br />4" <br />6" <br />8" <br />10" <br />12" <br /> <br />$ 12.50 <br />25.00 <br />50.25 <br />75.50 <br />150.50 <br />226.00 <br />376.50 <br />753.25 <br />1,129.75 <br />1,506.50 <br /> <br />$ 14.50 <br />28.75 <br />58.00 <br />87.00 <br />173 . 25 <br />260.00 <br />433.00 <br />866.25 <br />1,299.25 <br />1,732.50 <br /> <br />The Standby rates will not be increased. <br /> <br />The City will continue its policy of having no minimum <br />charge for senior and totally disabled citizens. <br /> <br />1987, <br /> <br />Passed by the Arden Hills City Council this 8th day of June, <br /> <br /> <br />K' <br />,. /J!~/)/V-7~) P77d--CA~ <br /> <br />Robert L.
