<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87-14 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of Arden Hills has determined that it is <br />appropriate for the Village to adopt a records retention schedule in order to <br />maintain an effective records management system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 138.163 states: <br /> <br />"It is the policy of the legislature that the disposal and <br />preservation of public records be controlled exclusively by <br />Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 138 and by Laws 1971, Chapter 529, <br />thus no prior, special or general statute shall be construed to <br />authorize or prevent the disposal of public records at a time or <br />in a manner different than prescribed by such chapter or by Laws <br />1971, Chapter 529 and no general or special statute enacted <br />subsequent to Laws 1971, Chapter 529 unless it expressly exempts <br />such records from the provisions of such chapter and Laws 1971, <br />Chapter 529 by specific reference to this section, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, Department of Administration, along <br />with the League of Cities, and a task force made up of city officials from the <br />State of Minnesota, have developed a standard records retention schedule for <br />records common to most Minnesota municipalities, which schedule has been <br />approved by the Minnesota Department of Administration, the Minnesota <br />Historical Society, the Minnesota State Auditor, and the Minnesota Attorney <br />General (November, 1985); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the classification of records as herein described are <br />included in the above mentioned Records Retention Schedule; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills Village Council <br />hereby adopts the approved Records Retention Schedule developed by the State of <br />Minnesota, Department of Administration, along with the League of Cities, and a <br />task force made up of municipal officials from the State of Minnesota, as <br />follows: <br /> <br />See attached Exhibit A <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution shall be <br />submitted to the Minnesota Historical Society. <br /> <br />Approved by the Arden Hills City Council this 23rd day of February, <br /> <br />1987. <br /> <br />..... <br /> <br />l(f;jf~/1..#4z /ti4,,,p~:Ul'L__ <br /> <br />Robert L.
