<br />-. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 97-21 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />CONTRACT IN THE MATTER OF THE 1997 STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to City Resolution, competitive bids were solicited and received for the <br />1997 Street Improvement project as set forth in the bid tabulation attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein by this reference; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the amount of the bids and the responsibility of the <br />bidders and detennined that Valley Paving, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Staff and Engineer have recommended that the contract be awarded based <br />upon the Base Bid, Alternate Bid B for replacing portions of the seal coat with <br />slurry seal, and the completion of repairs to the sanitary sewer system on Harnline <br />Avenue North. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1, The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the <br />City, such contract with Valley Paving, Inc., as is approved by the City Attorney for the <br />completion of the 1997 Street Improvement project according to the approved plans and <br />specifications designated by City Resolution. <br /> <br />2.
