<br />. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-50 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION OF PROPERTY IN <br />CONNECTION WITH FOURTEENTH STREET NE <br />ROAD AND UTILITY PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has awarded a contract for the construction of Fourteenth Street NE <br />(herein the "Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to construct the Project as designed, it will be necessary to acquire certain <br />property owned by Morris Communications (herein the "Morris Property"), as described on <br />Exhibit A attached; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, to date, negotiations to acquire the property from Morris Communications have <br />been unsuccessful, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Arden Hills City Council hereby <br />authorizes the City Attorney to commence a condemnation proceeding to acquire the Morris <br />Communication property described on Exhibit A attached, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorney is hereby directed to continue to use all <br />reasonable efforts to acquire such property through negotiation provided that the negotiations do <br />not unreasonably delay the construction of the Project. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THIS 14TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1997. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BRIA~]TY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />M:\USERSISHEILA ICOUNCILlRESOLUT\97 -50.RES <br /> <br />(<,! vf)'i).' ,.r,) <br />_, h\\ \,_ 1(;;'1 <br />
