<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 56 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION TO <br />THE MIGHTY DUCKS CAPITAL BONDING FUND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission ("MASC"), via the State Capital <br />Bonding Fund, provides for capital funds to assist political subdivisions of the state of Minnesota <br />for the development of sports facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills ("City") desires to participate in the National Sports Center <br />ice complex for ice sports <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. That estimates that the total cost of developing said facility shall be $9,500,000 <br />and the City is requesting $250,000 from the Mighty Ducks Capital Bonding Fund, <br /> <br />2, <br /> <br />That the City agrees to be a partner of the Joint Powers Agreement which <br />provides for the facility to be operated for its intended purpose for the functional <br />life of the facility which is estimated to be twenty (20) years, <br /> <br />3, That the City agrees to enter into the necessary and required agreements with the <br />MASC and other parties for the specific purpose of constructing a sports facility <br />and long-term program direction, <br /> <br />4, That an application be made to the State of Minnesota, MASC, to be included in <br />the MASC's (Governor's) Capital Budget request for an amount presently <br />estimated to be $8,000,000, <br /> <br />5, That the City Administrator of the City is authorized and directed to execute said <br />application, aild serve as the otlicialliaison w' 'the MASC. <br /> <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUN <br />THIS 30TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1996. <br /> <br />OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />DENNIS PROBST, MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />
