<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-25 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION TO THE COOPERATIVE TRAILS <br />GRANT PROGRAM FUNDED BY THE STATE OF MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF <br />NATURAL RESOURCES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is working to complete a trail system for the use and <br />enjoyment of the citizens of Arden Hills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approximate three-fourth of a mile segment of the proposed trail would run <br />from T.H. 96 south to Briarknoll Drive on an existing City trail easement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed trail would connect with the existing bituminous trail which extends <br />from Floral Park to Cummings Park; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this eight foot wide bituminus trail segment would provide a crucial link between <br />our existing trails and the proposed T.H. 96 trail; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cooperative Trail Grants Program is available through the State of Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources and could fund 50% of the construction cost for <br />accepted projects (up to $50,000); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if the City of Arden Hills should receive the Cooperative Trail Grant funds, the <br />City's portion of funding would come from the Park Fund. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Arden Hills, Minnesota <br />that the City Council supports the aplication to the Cooperative Trail Grants Program for the <br />development of the above mentioned trail segment. <br /> <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY CO <br />THIS 10TH DAY OF APRIL, 1995. <br /> <br />E CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />~~/ <br /> <br />BRIAN RITSINGER, C TY ADMINrSTRATOR <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />
