<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 99-20 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS AND RAMSEY COUNTY <br />REGARDING COUNTY COLLECTION OF RECYCLING FEES FOR THE CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills (the "City") has been involved in a Joint Powers <br />Agreement with Ramsey County (the "County") since 1991; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County has the authority, under Minnesota Statutes, Section 473.811, and has <br />collected fees for the City pertaining to costs of curbside recycling as part of tbe Joint Powers <br />Agreement (Attachment A); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at this time, the County's collection of these fees for the City is the most cost- <br />effective manner for collecting such fees. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Arden Hills, Minnesota: <br /> <br />The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />Joint Powers Agreement with Ramsey County to collect just and reasonable rates for <br />curbside recycling for the City through June 30, 2004. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />THIS 12th DAY OF JULY, 1999. <br /> <br /> <br />ATI~ <br /> <br />BRIA~ FRITSINGE , CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />
