<br />- <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-10 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR A METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (MCES) LOAN FOR THE REPAIR OF INFLOW AND <br />INFILTRATION PROBLEMS IN THE CITY'S SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the MCES is providing matching loans to eligible Cities to reduce inflow and <br />infiltration I & I within their sanitary sewer systems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills has identified approximately 5000 linear feet of sanitary <br />sewer line with high infiltration problems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, I & I costs the City of Arden Hills a significant amount to treat as any other <br />sewage; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, I & I reduces the capacity of the MCES treatment facilities requiring larger than <br />necessary treatment plants treating unnecessary clean water. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, that <br />the City of Arden Hills Public Works Superintendent is hereby authorized to submit application <br />and serve as a subject matter contact for an MCES matching loan in the amount of $40,000, for <br />the repair ofI & I problems within the City sanitary sewer lines. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OIVrHE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />,. <br />THIS 26TH DAY OF JANUARY, 1998. jl !~~;l <br />//, ,;; y' / <br />" J i -o//.'/ / <br />/ /f/k'7 0!$)j$/ <br />// // .
