STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF ARDEN HILLS RESOLUTION 98-24 A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE FUTURE FUNDING FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT OF RAMSEY COUNTY'S TONY SCHMIDT LAKE JOHANNA PARK WHEREAS, Ramsey County committed $300,000 in 1997 for the redevelopment project, primarily for planning purposes, and an additional $630,000 in 1998 to begin the project; and WHEREAS, Ramsey County has appointed a Task Force including residents of Arden Hills who aided staff and consultants in designing the redevelopment plan; and WHEREAS, the Arden Hills City Council has preliminary reviewed the plan and concurs with the proposed redevelopments; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department Staff have proposed money to be budgeted for the next three years as follows: 1999 - $855,000, 2000 - $675,000, and 2001 - $165,000; and WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills would like to strongly encourage Ramsey County to continue to budget and fund the redevelopment of Tony Schmidt Park for subsequent years until the final stages have been completed; and WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills requests that Ramsey County complete the project as promptly as possible. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota, that the City of Arden Hills supports the plan to redevelop Tony Schmidt Lake Johanna Park and as strongly as possible requests that Ramsey County continue to financially Sllpport each phase of redevelopment at or above the proposed levels until it is complete.
