<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 98-29 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AN APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />NATURAL RESOURCES COOPERATIVE TRAIL GRANT PROGRAM. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills continues to work towards, connecting neighborhoods by <br />completing a trail system for the use and enjoyment of the citizens of Arden Hills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills is in the process of completing and adopting a <br />Comprehensive Trail Plan as a part of the City's overall Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed one-half mile, eight foot wide bituminous trail would be constructed <br />along County Road F between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue. In addition, a trail <br />section would be constructed south along Hamline Avenue to connect with the City's existing <br />trail; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this trail will cOlmect and provide crucial links at Lexington Avenue with an <br />existing trail that continues east through Shoreview into Vadnais Heights; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cummings Park, which is one of the City's most used parks is located north of the <br />proposed trail and would be made accessible to the public by these trails; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cooperative Trail Grant Program is available to awarded communities to fund <br />up to 50 percent of the construction cost (maximum $50,000) and can be used until May 1, 2001. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, <br />Minnesota, that the City Council supports the application for the Cooperative Trail Grant for the <br />County Road F trail segment. <br /> <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T <br />THIS 23RD DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1998. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> <br />(i:,' Ie,,) <br /> <br />"i1~,:', <br />"f qt,^.~" <br />
