<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />~~HILLS <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />Agenda Item 4.A <br />ADDENDUM <br /> <br />January 16, 2003 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Joe Lynch, City Administrator;~ <br />i/ <br />...... <br />2003 City Council Retreat Update <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />ENCLOSURE: <br /> <br />Session I and Session II Agendas <br /> <br />Since the composition of the attached memorandum Agenda Item 4.A, staff has learned that <br />Session I of the 2003 City Council Retreat scheduled for January 25, 2003, will need to be <br />rescheduled due to the non-availability of all City Council Members to be present. <br /> <br />Staff was requested to work with the consultant, Marilyn Condon, on an alternate date or to shift <br />the meeting from January 25,2003 to February 21, 2003, the date originally scheduled for Session <br />II. Staff contacted Ms. Condon, and based upon discussion and Ms. Condon's availability, has <br />decided to shift Session I to February 21, 2003. The Council should be aware that Ms. Condon <br />is going to charge the City a one time cancellation fee of $1,000.00 for the preparation time and <br />cost incurred for January 25, 2003. <br /> <br />The agenda will remain as previously printed. Session I retreat schedule will run from 8:30 a.m. <br />to approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2003. Lunch will be provided and served at <br />City Hall. This is an additional cost item to the retreat cost. The previous price indicated to the <br />Council was for the consultant only. <br /> <br />Session II has been re-scheduled to March 6, 2003. At this session, all City Staff has been <br />invited to attend and participate in a discussion between City Council and City Staff. The Council <br />should be aware that this is a weekday, and due to the fact that all City Staff will be participating, <br />City Hall will need to be closed. <br /> <br />In light of Session I being rescheduled to a later date, the Consultant and staff felt that Session II <br />should be scheduled as soon as possible after Session I. Session II will run from 8:30 a.m. until <br />3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served at City HaIL <br /> <br />The Council will be asked to consider whether to schedule a subsequent Session III at the end of <br />Session I on February 21,2003. <br />
