WATER SURFACE USE

EAW:
WILL THE PROJECT CHANGE THE NUMBER OR TYPE OF WATERCRAFT ON
ANY WATER BODY? THIS ITEM NEED ONLY BE ADDRESSED IF THE AUAR
AREA WOULD INCLUDE OR ADJOIN RECREATIONAL WATER BODIES.
l NO YES

IF YES, INDICATE THE CURRENT AND PROJECTED WATERCRAFT USAGE AND
DISCUSS ANY POTENTIAL OVERCROWDING OR CONFLICTS WITH OTHER
USERS OR FISH AND WILDLIFE RESOURCES.
AUAR:
This item need only be addressed if the A UAR area would include or adjoin recreational
water bodies.

Not Applicable.

16. EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION

EAW:
GIVE THE ACREAGE TO BE GRADED OR EXCAVATED AND THE CUBIC YARDS
OF SOIL TO BE MOVED: ACRES ; CUBIC YARDS . DESCRIBE
ANY STEEP SLOPES OR HIGHLY ERODIBLE SOILS AND IDENTIFY THEM ON
THE SITE MAP. DESCRIBE ANY EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL
MEASURES TO BE USED DURING AND AFTER PROJECT CONSTRUCTION.

AUAR:
The number of acres to be graded and the number of cubic yards of soils to be moved need
not be given; instead, a general discussion of the likely earthmoving needs for development
of the area should be given, with an emphasis on unusual or problem areas. in discussing
mitigation measures, both the standard requirements of the local ordinances and any
special measures that would be added for A UAR purposes should be included.

While it is premature to determine the detailed earthmoving requirements for the future
development phases, because the redevelopmcnt sites arc relatively fiat and most arcas
have been previously developed, unique and/or unusual earthwork requirements for the
proposcd redevelopment are not anticipated.

The potential for erosion and sedimentation of soils exposed during redevelopment of the
AUAR study area will be minimized by using Bcst Managcment Practices (BMPs) during
and afier construction. Erosion control practices will be identified in the final site grading
and construction plans as required by the NPDES pem1it and in accordance with the City of
Arden Hills and Rice Creek Watershed District's erosion/sedimentation control standards.

Guidant Campus Master Plan
Final AUAR and Mitigation Plan

-]9 -

January 2003
