<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br />EN HILLS <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: February 7, 2003 <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />Planning Coffimission <br />Joe Lynch, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Peter Hellegers, City Planner 9u <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Ramsey Connty Public Works Facility (RCPWF) <br /> <br />Requested Action <br /> <br />Review proposed preliminary schematic plans for the Ramsey County Public Works Facility and <br />Army National Guard Field Maintenance Shop, and provide comments or concerns relative to <br />the projects. <br /> <br />Backeround <br /> <br />Attached are the most recent preliminary plans at the schematic level for the Ramsey County <br />Public Works Facility and the Army National Guard Field Maintenance Shop. The project <br />architects, BWBR Architects, will be making a briefPowerPoint presentation on the preliminary <br />plans shown in your packet and other preliminary schematic plans for the facilities. Ramscy <br />County will likely submit an application for a Special Use Permit (SUP) for the RCPWF which <br />would be reviewed in April. The Army National Guard plans, although not subject to City <br />jurisdiction for review, have been submitted to show how both facilities will interact aud how thc <br />facilities will appear along Highway 96. The plans also present a better picture of how these <br />facilities may operate, how they may affect current development across Highway 96 and the <br />northern portion of the City, and how they may affect potential redevelopment in the Excess area <br />ofTCAAP. In addition to the project architects, representatives from Ramsey County and thc <br />Army National Guard will be in attendance to answer questions relative to these projects. <br /> <br />A public open house on the proposed RCPWF is scheduled for February 25,2003 at 7:00 p.m. to <br />be held at in the Arden Hills City Hall Community Room (lower level). <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br />AI.
