ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
February 10,2003

6

e

Mr. Parrish indicated staff was working on the concept of a TCAAP public
informational video. The video would be designed to educate residents about the
current status of TCAAP, reuse planning, and the early transfer process. He
indicated this would be done by the City's Cable Technician with assistance from
the Development Team. The video would be played regularly on Channel 16.

Councilmember Larson requested the Council discuss at a Council Work Session
what the City's desired outcome was for the proposed meeting held with the
interested TCAAP parties. Mayor Aplikowski requested a one-hour discussion be
added to the agenda for the next Council Work Session meeting.

7. OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE

A. Operations and Maintenance

I. 2002 Sanitary Sewer Project Scope

e

Mr. Brown stated the City had awarded Visu-Sewer Clean & Seal of Fridley the
2002 Sanitary Sewer and Watermain Rehabilitation Project for a total of
$246,425.50. He noted the original budget was not based on completing a
geographical area, but arbitrarily selected an annual amount to be expended for
pipe sealing work. He indicated the pipes in the area required more grout than
expected, which indicated that a large amount of infiltration was occurring. The
contract budget would be exhausted before this quadrant of the City was
completed. He stated based on the amount of pipe left to seal and the rate of grout
used to date, they anticipated that an additional $85,000 would complete the
southwest quadrant of the City.

MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Grant
seconded a motion to approve an additional $85,000 to Yisu-
Sewer Clean & Seal to complete the grouting work in the
southwest quadrant of the City for the 2002 Sanitary Sewer
Project. The funding was to be taken out of the Sanitary Sewer
Enterprise Fund. The motion carried unanimously (5-0).

e
