<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ARDEN HILLS REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />FEBRUARY 24, 2003 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />by Mr. Terry Post to the City Administrator's recommendation that his <br />employment be terminated due to unsatisfactory performance. The parties <br />present at this meeting were: City Administrator Joe Lynch, City <br />Accountant/Treasurer Post, Mayor and City Council, City Attorney Filla, <br />and Recording Secretary Altman. The City Administrator's <br />recommendation was reviewed by the City Council and the following action <br />was taken: <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Larson moved and Councilmember Rem <br />seconded a motion to accept the City Administrator's <br />recommendation, and to direct that Mr. Post be considered as <br />an employee of the City leaving in good standing; therefore he <br />is entitled to the benefits as found in the Personnel Policy. <br /> <br />Motion Passed (3-1-1) (Opposed; Mayor Aplikowski, <br />Abstained; Councilmember Holden). <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />A closed meeting was held on Tuesday, February 18, 2003, to consider a <br />performance evaluation of City Administrator Lynch. The parties present at <br />the meeting were the Mayor and City Council and Administrator Lynch. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Grant moved and Councilmember Rem <br />seconded to request the resignation of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Motion Passed (3-1-1) (Opposed; Councilmember Larson, <br />Abstained; Councilmember Holden). <br /> <br />Subsequent to this meeting, the City Administrator met with the City <br />Attorney to review the City Administrator's contract and the provisions of a <br />proposed termination agreement. A draft of the termination agreement was <br />accepted by the City Administrator and needs to be ratified by the Mayor <br />and City Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Aplikowski stated if Mr. Lynch needed a letter of recommendation, the <br />City would provide such a letter. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Grant <br />seconded a motion to direct the Recording Secretary to include <br />
