Brown <br />Arden Hills City Engineer <br /> <br />Date: March 5, 2003 <br /> <br />Subject: Pay Estimate #5 <br />2002 Sanitary Sewer and Water Main Rehabilitation Project <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Background <br />The City of Arden Hills awarded Visu-Sewer Clean & Seal of Fridley, MN the 2002 Sanitary <br />Sewer and Water Main Rehabilitation Project on August 12,2002 for a total contract amount of <br />$246,435.50. Pay Estimate #1 through #4 for a total of $193,882.89 was approved by the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Project Status <br />Water Main <br />The Contractor has completed the directional boring, connection of the watermain and all <br />associated items. The line is now functional. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer <br />The Contractor has completed the manhole adjustments and relining. <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Test and Seal <br />The Contractor is essentially complete with the original scope of work. Change Order <br />No.1 (One) if approved will expand the scope to substantially complete testing and <br />sealing in the southwest section of the City. The additional work would be completed by <br />late spring. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Recommendations <br />The Arden Hills City Engineer recommends the Council approve Pay Estimate #5 for Visu- <br />Sewer Clean & Seal of Fridley, MN in the amount of $25,914.97. A retainage of 5.00% is being <br />held for this project. <br />
