e e e ~ ~HILLS City of Arden Hills Ramsey County, Minnesota AGENDA ITEM 7.A RESOLUTION NO. 03-31 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FORBIDS FOR THE 2003 PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR KARTH LAKE EAST AND INGERSON NEIGHBORHOODS WHEREAS, upon completion of a preliminary report, the Gty of Arden Hills ordered the making of the 2003 Street Improvements; and WHEREAS, The Gty of Arden Hills authorized the preparation of detailed plans and specifications addressing the necessary requirements of the 2003 Pavement Management Plan; and WHEREAS, the Gty Engineer has detennined that the 2003 Pavement Management Plan consists of two distinct levels of street repair; the reconstruction of the Ingerson neighborhood streets and the mill and overlay of the Karth Lake East neighborhood street. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA; 1. Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed ill the feasibility report. 2. Such improvement is hereby ordered. 3. Plans and specifications prepared by Gty Engineer Greg Brown for such improvement pursuant to Council resolution, are hereby approved and shall be filed with the Gty Oerk. 4. The Gty Oerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 3 weeks, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be considered by the Council at its first regular meeting in June, 2003, in the Council Clambers of Gty Hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Oerk and accompanied by cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the Ocrk for 10 percent (10%) of the amount of each bid.
